Consulting Services
Solution architects, not order-takers.
Overview
As solution architects, we go beyond basic implementation to provide expert consultancy, so you're always able to maximise your investment in technology. Strategy, architecture, vendor-neutral advice.
Independent advice, including when it costs us the sale
We resell hardware and software, which creates an obvious conflict when we also give advice. We manage it by separating the two. A consulting engagement produces a recommendation with the reasoning and the alternatives documented, and you are free to buy the outcome elsewhere.
Where we hold accreditations, with HPE, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft, Veeam, Barracuda and Arctic Wolf, we say so. That gives us depth and better commercial terms, and it means you should expect the relationship disclosed rather than presented as neutrality.
Technology strategy and roadmaps
A roadmap is a funding document as much as a technical one. Ours set out what has to be replaced and when, what it will cost, what happens if it is deferred, and which items are genuinely discretionary, because most of our clients have to defend the plan to a board or finance committee.
The refresh schedule is built off the asset register with real end of support dates attached, so capital planning stops being a guess. Where there is no internal IT leadership, we provide the same function on a fractional basis.
Procurement, tenders and vendor selection
We help write requirement specifications that can actually be evaluated, run comparisons against them, and support tender or RFP processes. That is often the difference between a procurement file that survives scrutiny and one that does not.
Our compliance position is documented and current, covering insurance, alignment with the Australian Privacy Principles and Australian infrastructure for data sovereignty. We can supply the documents for a procurement pack on request.

Common questions
How is your advice independent if you also sell hardware?
We disclose every partnership and document the alternatives we considered alongside the recommendation. Consulting deliverables are yours to act on however you choose, including buying elsewhere. Advice you cannot take to a competitor is not advice, it is a sales process.
What is a fractional CTO arrangement?
Senior technology leadership on a part time, ongoing basis for organisations too small to justify a full time CIO. In practice that means owning the roadmap, attending board or committee meetings, managing vendor relationships and translating technical risk into language a finance committee can act on.
Can you help us run a tender?
Yes. We help define requirements, build evaluation criteria and assess responses. Where we intend to respond ourselves, we say so at the outset and step out of the evaluation side. You cannot credibly write the criteria and bid against them.
Do you have the insurance and compliance documentation for procurement?
Yes. Professional Indemnity, Public Liability and NSW Workers Compensation are current, we operate in line with the Australian Privacy Principles, and client data sits on Australian infrastructure. Certificates of currency are available on request for tender and procurement packs.
What does a technology roadmap actually contain?
An asset register with real end of support dates, a sequenced replacement schedule with indicative costs, the risk of deferring each item, and a split between mandatory and discretionary spend. It is written to be presented to a board or finance committee, not just to your IT team.
