Buying hardware is easy. Buying the right hardware, at the right size, with warranty and spares that match how your business actually runs, is the part that goes wrong. We specify against the workload rather than the catalogue, source through our vendor agreements, and hand it over imaged, asset-tagged and ready to deploy.

Specified against the workload

Most overspend on hardware comes from buying the configuration on the vendor quote rather than the one the workload needs. Too much CPU and not enough memory, storage sized for today with no headroom, or a warranty term that expires two years before the asset is retired. We size against measured utilisation and a planned service life, then price it.

Where the decision is genuinely close, we quote HPE and Dell side by side. Our HPE accreditation generally gives us better commercial terms on ProLiant, Alletra and Nimble, but better terms on our side is not automatically the better outcome on yours. You see both.

Warranty, support and lead times

Support level is where hardware quotes quietly diverge. Next business day parts only is a very different proposition from onsite response with a committed repair window, and the gap between them decides whether a Friday failure is resolved on Monday or the following Thursday. We quote the level that matches how critical the system is and say plainly what each option covers.

Coverage dates are tracked. Every warranty, maintenance agreement and subscription we place is recorded with its equipment, start date, end date, term and reference, and we raise renewals in advance. Lapsed coverage on a production system is a preventable failure and we treat it that way.

Lead times get stated up front. Enterprise switching, storage and some server configurations regularly run six to twelve weeks. For projects tied to a fixed window, particularly school breaks, the order date matters more than the delivery date.

Delivered ready to deploy

Endpoints arrive imaged, enrolled in Intune, asset tagged and recorded in your register. Servers and network equipment are staged and configured before they reach site, so the onsite window is installation and cutover rather than initial setup. Critical spares can be held where an outage would be expensive.

Everything we place is recorded in your asset register with serial numbers, purchase dates, warranty expiry and location. That register is the input to your refresh planning and it belongs to you.

Common questions

Do you quote both HPE and Dell?

Yes. Our HPE accreditation usually gives us stronger commercial terms, and we still price Dell alongside it on server and storage refreshes. You see both quotes with the differences in specification, warranty and lead time set out.

What are typical hardware lead times?

Endpoints are usually one to two weeks. Servers, enterprise switching and storage commonly run six to twelve weeks depending on configuration, and longer for anything built to order. Any project with a fixed cutover window needs the order placed well before the window opens.

Can we buy hardware from you without a managed services agreement?

Yes. Procurement is available on its own. Clients on a managed agreement get the asset register, warranty tracking and renewal management included, which is where most of the ongoing value sits.

How do you track warranty expiry?

Every item goes into your asset register with serial number, purchase date, warranty end date and support level. Renewals are raised in advance of expiry rather than at it, because coverage that lapses on a production system is a preventable problem.

Do you handle disposal of old equipment?

Yes, including certified data destruction for anything holding data. You receive documentation of the destruction, which is generally required for privacy compliance and is frequently asked for during audits.
